I really enjoyed building this kit. I knew going into it that there were some issues, mostly with proportions and accuracy: the cockpit is clearly too shallow, the tail wheel too short, and the shape of the ailerons is off. If you want to get picky, some of the engraved detail is too pronounced for the scale, but that didn't bother me. The fit throughout was very good, though there was a tight squeeze getting the fuselage to join with the wings, needing some trimming and sanding. The decals offer the obvious Flying Tigers markings, or an RAF plane of 349 Squadron in West Africa, or a Soviet aircraft. The glossy full-color painting guide is nice to look at, but not very useful. The canopy comes in four pieces, if you want to pose it open. Overall it's a better, less frustrating build than the Airfix Tomahawk, even though the latter might be a more faithful reproduction of the actual aircraft.
