USS California BB44 Battleship 1941

I ordered this model to use as part of a school research paper on the Washington Naval treaty. My past experiences with Trumpeter's 1/700 series of BBs was not the greatest so I was expecting something that would feel laborious to build. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this model went together and how fast the build was! The ship looks good and with some slight work the ship can be turned into a simple rendition of the Colorado class battleships due to 90% of the sprues in the box being from either Trumpeter's West Virginia, Colorado, or Maryland kits. Only issue I had during the whole build process was the turret housings didn't fit to well onto the turret base plate but it was an easy fix :) Great kit :))
