USS Franklin CV13 Aircraft Carrier 1944

Grandson wanted a ship model (he's been getting tanks) so I opted for a large one. Settled on an aircraft carrier because of the small planes that come with it. He likes to play with them, not keen on just having it on display. I figured a larger model would go together easier. Well it did but it didn't go together nicely. Another example of a company breaking up a large piece into smaller ones for no good reason, then the pieces don't all fit. Had a lot of minor gaps that had to be filled. The three piece flight deck did not match at all. Had to fill and sand between all three pieces. There were not enough decals to finish the center line on the flight deck. In spite of the amount of trimming, filling and sanding needed my grandson is happy with it so that makes it worthwhile. Would I recommend this, yes if you don't mind putting some work into it. The finished product looks pretty good.
