"A challenging kit of this rare ship"
cdnmodeller (Edmonton, AB)
This is the first kit I have ever come across of the USS West Virginia. It's one of the most challenging kits I've recently built, probably due to the fact that it was my first experience with photo-etched parts (notably the 2 'birdcage' masts). However, it came together pretty well. There are some challenging very small parts to place such as searchlights and some anti-aircraft guns but most of it assembles fairly well. Modeling tweezers are essential for dealing with these tiny parts. Certain parts of the instructions were tricky to follow (notably the placement of boats on the deck) but I was still impressed with the way it came out. This kit can be built with either a waterline or full hull.

"This Ship is Amazing !"
Spencer (Long Island , NY)
The West Virginia is amazing. Everything from her guns to her bridge. I would say she's a pretty straightforward model kit. She is on display with hundreds of others at the American Legion Hall . If your interesting in see the models ( admission and parking is always free ) call George Wells at 516 - 668 - 3140 or if your interesting in having detailed and beautiful models displayed at your party , event , library ect. call Spencer Jurgeielwicz at 516 - 632 - 0951. Note we do not sell model kits nor do we wish to take business away from Hobbylinc.

Due to small parts that could cause a choking hazard please kee away from children 3 years of age and younger.
