Golden Dragon Chinese Take Out - Kit

Many years ago, the US was dotted with gas stations that looked like - yes - little Oriental buildings! This kit clearly started life as a replica of one of those, you'll even find the parts for the station's pumps and fences in the box. A neat bonus. I bought this kit to work on with my ten year old son. We had fun, but the construction can be tedious due mostly to either a lack of much assistance in guiding the parts together (building corners) or pins and holes that are too small (we cut several off to get the roof to fit on). The kit is EXTREMELY small. So small we couldn't believe it! Perfect for anyone with only a small area on their layout for structures. It's certainly not on the same level as the other Walters kits of the same packaging size, such as the Hole in One Donut shop, which was simply amazing. We finished off the kid with a ton of LEDs and added a big red bowl of noodles on the roof with chopsticks coming out of it. Ended up as a very nice kit and balances out with the donut shop on the kids' model railroad nicely... Very nice lines.
