I really enjoyed building this kit. In the picture it looks fragile and delicate for the wire bracing and ladder but found it to be quite an easy thing to work with. The texture is flat black so there is no need to paint but for the concrete footers for the upright supports for the tank. I use this tank in a smaller engine service facility shared by the SP, TNO and Santa Fe set in the desert southwest. Viewed from the front I put SP decals on it with SF decals on the opposite side. I have two others (built-up) one in the main SP engine service facility (modeled after the roundhouse that was in Dunsmuir, Ca. and one at a water stop modeled after the water tower still in use today at Black Butte, California, between Dunsmuir and Klamath Falls, Oregon. But it gets mothballed every winter. In the summer it is ready for service if needed to take water on a fire train or when steam specials are ran. I'm glad I got and I'll bet you will be too. Recommendable.
