Zvezda's SU-25 is a nice kit, at a reasonable price, but with some minor flaws. The kit has engraved panel lines throughout, and although they are a bit wide, they are consistent across all surfaces. You get a full load of weapons/fuel tanks to fill up all ten hardpoints. I was pleasantly surprised with the decals - they settle down great with just a bit of micro-sol setting solution and were easy to use. Part fit was not bad - a couple of spots needed putty to make it look nice, but nothing too serious. The canopy can be posed open or closed, and no pilot figure is included. The cockpit detail is sparse. There are some tiny raised panels on the sides, and instrument panel detail is provided as a decal. I added harnesses, ejection seat handles, and some scratch built detail to busy it up a little. You can pose a exterior pilot step and ladder open or closed as well. You can also choose between open or closed air brakes on the trailing edge of the wing tips - very interesting. There were some disappointments, including poor instruction sheet painting guides and part placement. I did a lot of internet searching to try and see where certain parts were attached and which colors to use for the cockpit interior and wheel wells. The main landing gear attachment points seemed weak to me - I would have preferred a hole and post style over what was provided. The windscreen did not sit correctly and I had to file down some of the interior cockpit dash, but that was probably my fault. Overall, I would recommend this kit. It was a fun and interesting build and I really like the look of the plane with its formidable weapons array.
