Best F-14

This Academy kit is fantastic. Got to be the best F-14A in 1/72 in this price range. Kit comes with 8 gray sprues and 1 sprue for clear parts. You will have lots of left over parts as the kit contains engine nozzles, missiles, and vertical stabilizers for the F-14D. Lots of ordinance is included. You will need to do some research to know which sidewinders the F-14A carried as there are missiles for both versions. The fit and detail is fantastic with recessed panel lines. The decals are Cartograph and are flawless. The only cons of the kit are: 1) No option for an open canopy, which is a shame because the cockpit detail is really good. 2) There are markings for only 1 squadron. I would love to build another one of these, but unless I want the same squadron markings, Iâ€™m going to have buy after market decals. Beautiful kit, great price, get one.
