"WOW what a tank, what a model"

Accurate with the details; a fun build; fun to airbrush; what can I say other than what the other modeler said - I recommend this kit

"Best M3 Lee I've seen"

This is an excellent kit from Academy and very typical of their attention to detail. The full interior detail (except the engine compartment) is great and the way the tank builds enables pull away access to display this. Build it carefully and you will have a model the can be shown with complete exterior, that can be prtially removed to show off the magnificent interior. The only thing that could make this better would be an engine compartment with removable engine. But hey, we can get this aftermarket, which I would highly recommend.

"A great model for those who like the movie, SAHARA with Humphrey Bogart"
kandj172
I got this model a few years back because of the movie SAHARA with Humphrey Bogart and of course, Lullubelle. It was much more than I bargained for. It has a detailed interior with separate 37mm rounds to be attached to the inside walls. I found that painting the rounds on the sprues worked best. Because of the paint, cyano-glue was the only way to put them onto the walls. The main gun seat must be modified to move the gun in the casing as it strikes on other parts inside. The instructions were fairly sketchy but with a little thought, you could figure out where things went. The turret can be removed to show the interior, or, you can leave hatches open to accomplish the same result. You just have a smaller view. The tracks are one piece, but very pliable. No antenna is provided, but a piece of brass wire will fit in the hole in the antenna mounting. Two main guns are provided, too. All in all, this is a somewhat challenging model, but a very satisfying one to make. That side gun turret really sets this tank apart from the rest.
