This is a 1:35 Pz.Kpfw VI Tiger I (Early Version) Tank from Academy Plastics. It's for experienced modelers. The German Tiger tank was one of the most powerful tanks in WWII and was greatly feared and respected by the Allies because of its 88mm main gun and thick armor plate. Tiger production began in 1942 and the tank remained in production with minor modifications through the end of WWII. Typically, Tigers had a crew of five. They could travel at up to 23mph on hard roads and were powered by Maybach 21,353cc V-12 engines that developed 642hp.

challenging but worth the effort

this is an excellent model. the interior detail is amazing some small fit issues but not hard to adjust. for left mine so that the upper hull removable did not want to hide all that detail.i feel this is an excellent model for an intermediate builder and up .am planning on getting another it was just that enjoyable to build

one of the best on market

This model is definitely one of the best you can find on market. I have 3 of these and i think i might get few more. Its nicely detailed inside and outside, This one came with track links, while 2 i bought in Europe came with rubber tracks. i find track links much better than rubber ones. there are no metal parts except engine grills.

design flaws

the number one issue i had with this model is the placement of the water cans inside the turret. with the spent shell basket in place, you cannot elevate the cannon.also lack of positive contact points for placement of parts.
