The AFV M102 howitzer is a great kit with an amazing level of detail at the price point. Be prepared to use plenty of sharp blades to carefully remove the many small parts from the sprue. Kit has very little flash and the fit was very good. The instructions were slightly vague particularly with the pieces of the breech block and the builder will want to refer to on-line photos of the subject. I do wish AFV had included at least minimal decals (U.S. Army and a serial number) for the tube.

Great kit for the price. Has a metal barrel and springs. Looks good by itself and great in a diorama.

This is the first AFV Club kit I have built. It's a nice kit with many movable parts and comes with a one piece metal barrel and springs. Can be built as a Vietnam version or later war version and either in transport or firing position. The kit has lots of tiny parts so be sure to have a good set of tweezers ready. There are 2 sprues molded very cleanly. Flash was minimal but a lot of small parts had excess molding pins attached. As another review stated, the instructions are a bit vague so have your thinking cap on. The instructions indicate to drill some holes in some tiny parts for some positions which seemed almost impossible. I had no way to do it so had to make do as is but the finished product came out pretty nice anyway. Be very careful when gluing around parts 12 and 3 since these allow the wheels to swing up off the ground in firing position. Somehow mine got stuck in the transport position so had to break off the spindles and just glue them in the firing position so the gun could swing around on the rear roller. All in all it's a nice kit.
