Parts quality is poor, the plastic used is not what you'll find in other brands. There is a lot of sprue/ excess plastic on parts. Things don't fit well. Becomes frustrating at some point.

There's more flash than I thought there was. But the detail is awesome. It's a challenge for me. Not done a model from this company but I'll be getting a few more. But be ready to cut and trim the pieces. But once it's done it'll be worth it I think.

The 1/35 AFV Club, Drilling, Sd.Kfz.251/21 Ausf.D is a good value for it's price point. This kit is much more reasonably priced than the Dragon version of this vehicle. After successful completion of this AFV Club 251/21 half track, I have to say that due to it's unique notched guide hull assembly, it is more likely that the upper hull will mate to the lower hull without a problem than the Dragon version of this vehicle. The molded parts will require some cleanup and injector pin removal. A set of precision sprue cutters is a must for this build as there are many small fine detail parts that make up the gun receiver mount assembly. A lot of tweezer assembly was necessary in this part of the build. Much of the driver compartment details will not be seen once the upper hull is glued in place. Although a rear mount for the MG 34 is provided, this machine gun is not. I was lucky enough to come up with one out of my spares box. Painting is somewhat tedious as their are several interior components that must be detail painted. To reproduce the camouflage patterns shown in the instructions, use of an airbrush is highly recommended. As instructions show 1944-45 vehicles, the dark yellow color should be the late war pale shade of this color. Due to the tiny parts, photo etch tool clamps, and complex paint schemes, this model kit is recommended for intermediate to advanced model builders.
