The end result with brass parts is a finish which is very similar to steel. It is highly recommended to darken your photo-etch parts before use.

works great to blacken brass parts

After about a 5 minute soak in this product, any photo etched part will turn black. I use it for gun barrels and metal tracks. I also use it on brass rod to make antennas. I reuse the fluid until it turns black and it seems to work well.
