Features :

Our latest HO scale caboose kits are based on the family of 30' waycars, roadnumbers X-198 to X-309, employed by the Great Northern beginning in early 1940s and later by the Burlington Northern. Built at the GN's St. Cloud, MN Shops, all the cars were built with the same floor plan, same window arrangement, and same external dimensions (22' 6" between truck centers and a 38' 6" length over coupler pulling faces). They generally differed only in exterior finish: tongue and groove, plywood, or steel. Our kits No. 880 and 881 represent the two wood constructed car designs.
