Overall great model. Beware! Model body is molded in plastic that actually looks more gray than black so the blacks don't really complement each other. Subsequently, I ended up trying to paint the body red. Instead of covering the plastic as I thought, it left the color a mixture that changes dependent on the lighting. For awhile it looks garnet red, then maroon, and then something a little lighter than a Tootsie Roll. Bottom line is that it's taking awhile to convince myself I really like it. Although most parts are intricate and fit well with little or no additional gluing, there is a lot of detail on the front suspension. The instructions on the front suspension are pretty vague on part placement so there was a bit of referencing and some guess work. With the vagueness, it would have been great if the instructions included a parts list with item description to provide a bit more information for the modeler.

Just finished the 50th anniversary Camaro. AMT has done it again. The detail, fit and finish of this kit is great. Very little flash or mold lines if any. It all went together smoothly with very little sanding or filing. There are a lot of small parts but all the detail was still good. the kit is molded in gray, with appropriate black and clear parts. The actual anniversary Camaro is painted in a glossy Nightfall Gray with black and orange trim on the hood, rear deck and spoiler which are handled nicely with decals. Some of the decals are small but they are supplied in duplicate in case of application errors. The factory painted front and rear window detail adds a great final touch. The only minor negative is the 4 exhaust tips are indicated in the instructions as chrome plated but were not. It was easy to paint them with Liquid Chrome. The instructions could have been more explicit for inexperienced modelers. Still it's a great kit. I might build another one.

Great kit. Would give it 4.5 stars as it's not quite perfect. The firewall needed trimming to get the proper stance. The instructions could be clearer, as others have noted. The gray nightfall color was spot on, however, there were swirls in the finish. I sanded those out and applied Testors clear gloss pearl to get a much better finish. Extra decals were provided which is a nice touch. Many of the parts fit tightly together and did not need gluing. Good interior detail. Liked the kit a lot!
