Ford C-600 City Delivery, Hostess

This is an awesome kit. I have built several of these. It goes together easily and the instructions are clear. Some slight clean up is needed as with any kit but my kits had no flash if it a problem for you, it's no big deal anyway. The Caterpillar 3208 Diesel engine is a gem. It has an Allison automatic transmission too. I love the roll up rear door with a little test fitting and some minor adjusting it will work smoothly. I love the opening side door too. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Care is needed to get the fold up Lift Gate to work right by making it a little tight so it will stay up in the traveling position or you can use a piece of wire to hold it up along the side bumpers in back. . The hood is not hinged and lifts off. If you have enough skill you can easily make hinges for it. I used wire to hinge mine. I also used the axels from the Ford LNT 8000 dump truck to make it into a LNT 8000 box truck. I also used the body from he Ford C-600 stake truck on a truck that I used the box body on another kit. That frame was perfect for the rack body and the crane from a accessory kit in stock here. I did not need to make any changes to it, just right. This body is the same one used on the Ford C-600 box trucks. This body can be used on any 1/25 scale truck model too if you have the skill to do it. Usually the frames need to be made longer to fit it. I highly recommend this kit.

Good kit and well suited for a beginner. Not a lot of small parts and the construction is straightforward. This is the first big truck I have built and I gotta say it was more fun than I thought it would be. Get this kit from hobbylinc and have some fun.

It goes together almost seamlesly, and is a great display item.I had great fun building the super detailed truck.I wish I had known how difficult the rear door would be, however al it requierd was patients. I hope my reveiw hasn't dicouraged anyone from perchasing this great kit, I highly recomend it.
