Was an okay kit . The main part walls were a little hard to put together . The roofs we're odd so I replaced with evergreens v-groove. Have fun kit bashing so one became a garage .

Out of the box, the Cape Cod cottage, after an earnest four minutes of assembly, turns out dinky and not very convincing on a layout. It's about 15 x 19 scale feet in area, though scale is hardly an issue. A sensible modeler would ignore it. I took it as a challenge and found ways to make it into 14 unique, convincing structures for my On30 modules, where its modest footprint is actually an advantage. It becomes retail and residential structures, one- and two-story, ranging from rustic to upscale suburban designs. In the photos, you'll see how a porch, a raised foundation, siding, a brick chimney and a total roof makeover can transform this humblest of kits.
