Some of the snapped tite model structures I've dealt with this one isn't much more than a blind man (fully) unprepared trying to figure out a rubex cube not actually sure if this goes here nor in there not real clear of instructional papers but finished product is alright

"great model"

I love this. It is the simplest thing in the world to put together, yet the detail, etc. is first rate. It is a great atmosphere builder on my layout. You will want to use glue, even though technically you don't have to. Since most of the gluing is on the inside corners of the structure where it is not visible, I like to use UHU glue. It creates a rubbery glob that will hold anything together; it does not set up fast, so you have time to make adjustments. But then it sets up within an hour or less so you can get on with it and not wait 24 hours. I spray it with gray primer and then use acrylic paints to create all the detail of a wooden structure. Good fun.

The kit is easy to assemble but it is best to glue it. I did a lot of sanding and filling to make all the joints fit better. The kit is molded in colors but I painted all the parts and weathered them to give it a more realistic look. I added a metal lining to the coal chute, as well. It will look good on the grandkid's Christmas layout this year.
