This is my 2d Dragon Sherman and I can say that although it looks nice, it wasn't particularly easy to build. If you start with Tamiya, you get spoiled with the ease of the build, although detail is sacrificed. The biggest flaw I found was the directions. Some steps just aren't clear at all, especially the rear portion of the lower hull with the smoke dispensers. Initially I thought the transmission cover didn't fit property, but looked at some actual Sherman pictures and it was correct. If you do the Carole version, the real tank did not have a pistol port. Luckily, this can be fixed with a small amount of putty and surface primer. I didn't bother with the tracks, I got a set of the T62 Extended tracks from AFC club and they fit just fine. There are no periscope for the the drivers hatch or any other except for the commander's cupola. When you put together the spare track rails on the front the step in the directions says to attach the rails and then insert the spare tracks. Don't do that. Put on on set of rails, glue the spare tracks to the other rail and attach it that way. I speak from experience on this one. I didn't think figures went with the model. The decals are for the Normandy campaign but the commander and infantryman are dressed for a winter campaign. I went with an Alpine figure for the commander. It's not a bad kit, but for the price you can get yourself an Asuka Firefly. This kit is not for the beginner. I didn't really have any fit issues except for the front part of the lower hull. The rod to insert the sprocket wheel needed to be trimmed and you can see the seem line. I guess when I'm weathering this, I'll just throw some caked mud over that part. I really like the look of the Firefly, and once complete, this kit does look nice, but it's not without it's flaws. Definitely need to be an experience modeler for this one.
