An Excellent Kit

This is an excellent kit. The figures are of a very high quality and paint up nicely. I would recommend for a hobbyist of any level. I would've liked to know more information about what the kit potrays. After some research, I gathered some information for anyone interested. These are Prussian Landwehr (est. 1809) troops. These units were based on the Austrian model that existed previously, and served as a way for men too old or weak for the regular regiments to serve. They saw extensive combat, nonetheless, and played key roles in Prussian formations. They were mainly to act as reservist, but were not unknown to be deployed as skirmishers. As far as the actual uniforms, the uniforms depicted in the foreground are that of Silesia (based on the yellow collar and cuff, as well as the white buttons). Different provinces would have different color combinations (Back collar and cuffs for West Prussia for example), though they all worse the same dark, Prussian blue. The Kurkmark Landwehr ( Poppy Red C&C + Yellow Buttons) served extensively during the Waterloo Campaign.
