The Patriot was my first real quality airbrush and I have yet to need to get another one. That being said I did get the fine detail needle kit for it (I do not think it is on this site though). Even with the fine detail kit cover large areas is not a problem. Covering a whole tank is not a problem. One of my favorite aspects of this airbrush is how easy disassembly is making cleaning a breeze. The action is smooth and easy to control. There is the ability to adjust tension if you wish. I can get really fine detail when I need to. Thin lines are not a problem and really fantastic free hand camouflage schemes are achievable. However, keep in mind the fine detail kit helps a lot. Also, you have to thin the paint properly. I have had this brush for about 2 years now and it has been going strong the whole time. Great for a first airbrush!
