A super little MiG 29 representation by Hasegawa...

This was my first MiG build and first Russian aircraft that I've ever built and I really enjoyed it. Until this build and doing the research for reference photos and material of this aircraft, I had been totally ignorant at what a sleek, sexy looking jet it is and what a punch it can pack. This model captures those sleek sexy lines very well and it looks great upon the shelf waiting to be accompanied by my latest build, its adversary, the F-16 Falcon. The parts are molded well, but this kit was new tooling back in 1987 with new parts added in 1989 and nothing new since except for many new boxes and new decals. Therefore, expect to see some flash from this 30 yr old mold. That said, the parts do have recessed panel lines, some nicely engraved details and nice under-wing stores to help provide some aggressiveness in its appearance- who doesn't like a kit with lots of ordnance beneath the wings?! The cockpit tub comes with a basic seat, a Pilot figure, a basic tub with side consoles illustrated with decals. there's a separate instrument panel with a decal to decorate it and a control stick. The canopy can be displayed open or closed, I displayed mine open. The kit includes painting instructions and decals for 4 different marking options. The kit went together very well...after cleaning off some flash and gate scars and just a little filler was required at the joints between the vertical fins and upper fuselage. For $17.99, you're getting great value for money in my opinion, and a kit that looks sweet once completed.
