While not the best of paintbrush lines out there for modeling, the Atlas line is okay for jobs that will wear down your brushes fairly quick, or general (non precision) painting, thus making your more expensive brushes last longer (saving on wear and tear). I bought the Atlas No. 51 large camel hair brush for dry brushing and applying dust effects with pigments. For those tasks, an Atlas brush is more than sufficient for what I paid for it.
