The product arrived in a plastic clam-shell package. I took it out and fiddled with it. Nice weighted base should keep it steady and a lot of flexibility in the joints with one somewhat key exception.

I twisted one of the alligator clamps and it felt like it was not supposed to twist. This may have been loosened already as the other clamp was on solid and not twistable and the crimping looked different. Fortunately, I model, so a little glue fixed that. However, would be nice if the clamps has a twist ball joint like the rest of the joints.

overall outside of that, very nice product. recommend if you do a lot of small models, use etched parts, or just need something to help hold and magnify work in general.
