This model does not do well on 9 and three quarter inch radius curved track due to the front truck derailing constantly due to a design defect. It ran much better on 11 inch radius but I still had a little trouble possibly due to my Kato automatic block signal pinching the wheel. It is a beautiful engine (southern green) with my example running smoothly and quietly. It had one slightly out of round drive wheel. Bachmann could probably correct the front truck's derailing with the addition of a spring between the front truck and the body as they have on the rear truck.
