After comparing with other manufacturers and doing research, I was pleased to discover that Atlas Code 80 N Scale track is a closer representation of the types of rail found in the U.S. (i.e., tie spacing). The ties in Code 55 track are brown in color, but either can be weathered to suit a modelers preference. Reasonably priced and just as durable (if not better) than more expensive brands.
