I decided to try their lightweight hydrocal, just to see how it compares to using ultracal 30, mainly because some of my casting are large, and can get heavy.

I found it to be about half the weight, yet still as fragile as using regular plaster, I recommend leaving them in the mold for at least 24 hours, and then gently removing.

These castings are about 10 inch high, by 12 inches long, so they can get rather heavy, This hydrocal is very light, but fragile, most large castings break in half trying to unmold, so be gentle, and take your time.Have fun!

I started only pouring a section at a time with the larger molds I use,and am happy with the results.Give it a try, great product, and the only light weight I know of.
