As most true scale RR modelers don't think much of plastic kits the Merchant row kits are able to achieve a look that will rival the stick built expensive building kits. Take your time and spend a little extra effort on painting and finishing these kits. Good quality paints (Tamiya XF series) go a long way to remove the plastic sheen and do not forget a final spray of dullcote. (careful of the clear plastic parts as dullcote will fog them up). I now have 4 of these Merchant row building kits and several other Walther kits and it is making a very attractive small town.

I also found them entertaining to build. Now I have a nice town and I am looking to get some cars, trucks, and people to live there.
