This 1/72 scale kit comes from a familiar Japanese modeling company called Hasegawa. This goes without saying that this is one if not, the best kit I’ve worked on from them yet! The pros for this kit are as follows: You have two paint schemes to choose from and the one I did is on the cover of the box called 47th Sentai (Wing in Japanese) Narimasu 1945. The other one is 85th Sentai Major Saitoh Kantong 1944. The illustrations were easy to read and to also understand. Nearly all of the components fit well with minimal sanding. The decals were easy to remove from the paper and apply to the aircraft. There is also an option on what canopy you want to use pending on paint scheme.
The con for this kit involves the two wing mounted machine guns. If you want to do the first paint scheme, you will have to get rid of them as there is no information on how wide or deep you have to make the holes. I ended up not using them as I did not like them being permanently attached to the wing.
In conclusion, I give this kit a rating of 5 stars out of 5. Hasegawa, if you’re reading this I am deeply impressed on this kit of yours. This is definitely one of the best kits I’ve worked on from you and I had a wonderful time working on it. I only wished that the two wing mounted machine guns were two separate pieces instead of them being permanently attached to the wing. Other than that, job well done!
