Bomb craters painted and finished. See remaining photos for how to guide. Not that I am an expert, but if you want to recreate what is pictured this will walk you through it. As part of a much larger diorama set. I am going to use several of these to show a bombarded area.

Here the item as been dusted with Tamiya Dark Yellow paint. Don't worry about blotches as you can cover them as you go.

Here the foundation is laid for the holes. The interior of the hole is painted by brush with Tamiya Nato Brown and the exterior of the hole is brush painted with Tamiya Flat Earth. Notice the two holes on the bottom right. These were my test holes.

Here you can see the actual size of the product. It is a true 7x12 inches, but that includes a little border around two sides. This will work well with the Plastruct 7x12 inch sheets.

Here you can see that I have begun the dry brush painting to bring out the highlights and start blending the base colors. I used a #2 shading brush. This coat is Tamiya Buff. I used a liberal amount of paint and a moderate amount of pressure to get the effect seen.

Here dry brushing continues with Tamiya Deck Tan. I used a pressure somewhere between moderate and light with a moderate amount of paint. This really brings out the highlights and the blending is coming together well.

The finishing touch was a dry brush of Tamiya Medium Grey, which has a green tint to it. I used a light amount of paint with a light touch on the brush, a little more moderate at the extreme bases to blend everything better. The blending of colors seemed to come together quite well.
