Hobby Boss 1/48 UH-1C, easy assembly. Kit # 85803.

Used Tamiya Fine Durface Primer (L) in white to prime everything.

Interior painted and fuselage halves ready to be joined. Take note of the tungsten weights glued to the bottom of the fuselage halves and fit right under the floor of the interior when assembled. This keeps it from being a tail sitter when you're done.

Fuselage halves joined together and putty on the joints to eliminate imperfections.

Tail masked off with Tamiya tape and yellow band air brushed. Paint is Tamiya flat yellow XF-3.

The front is a clear piece. I masked off the interior piece and sprayed Tamiya clear green X-25 on the upper windows.

Air brushed parts as appropriate.

Painted with Tamiya acrylic paints. The green was four parts flat green XF-5 to two parts flat white XF-2. USMC helicopters were painted field green (FS 34097) not olive drab.

Finished!

After paint was applied I sealed it with Vallejo Acrylic Satin Varnish (28-532). Decals were next. Sealed again with Vallejo Matt Varnish (28-531). Lightly detailed then final seal with Tamiya flat clear (TS-80).

After all the sealer coats were done I removed the masking tape from the from clear parts.
