I built my kit like busracer02 (Ohio). It was the only way you could account for the bumpout in the wall behind the driver. This places the engine way forward so that it's a "hemi under roof" rather than "hemi under glass". Instructions could have been more helpful, here.

Other things weren't ideal. Like the lack of detail, the 2 part plastic tires (which I replaced), glass that if you used the flat pieces against the roof to glue in place, left big gaps around the perimeter.

AMT is making a windfall on this kit, at a price that is only a little less than a fresh, modern kit! They must have a very limited investment in a kit that you have to deal with 2-part plastic tires, and a chassis and interior that are almost bare of detail.

I wish I had never wanted a first gen Barracuda in my collection! But it was the only ball game, and perhaps that speaks to the fact that the brand underwent major changes before it became a popular vehicle.
