If you are careful and clip the sword effects parts from their translucent runners. Boil some water and carefully clip two lengths, pour the boiling water in a coffee cup and use a pair of alligator clips to dip and bend the pieces in the boiling water.

They fit nice and snug... really nice.

You will have a couple polycaps left in the kit. That is what I used as connectors and they fit snug.
