Lately, I've been building the cars of NASCAR champions. This kit became a must have as the basis for Benny Parson's 73 Laguna. Painted using TS49 Bright Red with Powerslide decals and lots of modifications.

To correct the stance, I drooped the nose and angled up the chassis in front of the firewall. The bulge of the front fender was removed and the opening closed up. The rear window opening was also opened up.

The black lines show where the front fenders were cut using a razor saw to droop the nose. The front fender flare and wheel openings had yet to be modified.

Here is a look underneath. No stock cars from this era used a four link rear suspension so the kit part was replaced with the best axle I had in my parts stash. The front suspension uses a scratch built crossmember.

Here is a look under the hood. The wheel wells were cut away, some styrene rod added, and the kit air cleaner replaced with a scratch built replacement.

Front three quarter view. The wheels and spoiler were painted using TS23 Light Blue.
