Kit bashed with parts from the AMT 1969 GTX Pro Street. Painted DupliColor BGM0440 Bright Aqua Metallic followed by TS13 Clear. Finished with a Molotow pen and Tamiya black panel line accent.

I replaced the awful kit chassis with molded in everything with the GTX chassis. It was shortened and narrowed to fit the Barracuda body. I also used the GTX engine bay panels and Hemi engine.

To better fit the GTX rear tires I stretched the wheel opening ca. 3/16 inch. The most difficult part of this modification was scribing in the character line detail.

I made the kit roll bar into a 6 point roll bar and added head rests to the kit seats.

The GTX kit has an excellent front suspension. I used its rear axle and 4 link rear suspension for another project. The Dana 60 is from the parts box and the 4 link scratch built. The GTX driveshaft was shortened.
