Most 1966 T-Birds had FE-390 V-8 engines but I'd like this Black Beauty to have the Q-Code FE-428 V-8 engine.

The hardtop is glued in place. It can also be left off for the convertible version.

The rear bumper assembly is very nice and fits the body well. The Landau Bars are a very nice touch.

The front bumper assembly was a fiddly fit that required patience and super glue to attach to the body.

The white wall with red line Firestone tires look very good.
The hardtop for this car was warped but I was able to straighten it out by heating it up with hot water, cooled then glued to the body.

I left off the fender skirts and put the Kelsey Hayes wire wheels (included in the kit) on this elegant Silver Gentleman's Hot Rod. I like to think this one has the Q-Code FE-428 V-8 too.

The 1966 Thunderbird's character lines make it one of the best looking cars in it's class from the period. They were also fast road going cars.

This kit is a challenge to make a clean build but I had fun trying. None of my builds are ever perfect but I've had a few good ones over the years.

3 down 3 to go. Building 6 1966 T-Birds to go with my 6 car transport trailer. Finish photos coming soon. Thank you Hobbylinc.

1 more hardtop and 2 convertibles in primer ready for paint colors. It would be great if Round2 would create a new more accurate tool and include a convertible up top, and all the correct trim choices for the '64, '65, and '66 Thunderbirds.
