I used two circles of 6" radius and some short straights to duplicate in N scale the Rokuhan tunnel briefcase layout. Since radius is 5 mm larger, I had to widen the roadbed for the inner loop and lower the floor of the tunnel for the taller N rolling stock. Works well!

Here's an N scale layout 22" by 17" that fits in a briefcase or a glass top table in my living room. Uses Kato 6" radius curves. Small engines run fine! I included working signals and sound.
