The train detector hides partially in the 1" Styrofoam surface of my N scale layout and partially in the mound I'm lifting here. It operates the cross buck flashers when the train is there.

The window in the hollow mound of Sculptamold (next to the cross buck) lets the infrared sensor peek out at the train and trigger the flashers. A Millers Diner will be build on the mound.
