The Hasegawa is IMHO one of the best F-14 kits on the market, being second only maybe to the Hobby Boss kit. The kit offers very fine details, with the ability to build the kit with the flaps and slats extended or retracted. The speed braes may be positioned open or closed. Panel lines and rivet details are finely done. The kit also comes with white metal wheel hubs. Fit is good overall, though the intakes can be a bit fiddly and difficult to get installed correctly, the rest of assembley is easy and parts fit is good. Decals are good. Cockpit detail is adequate, but will be much improved with the addition of a photo-etch cockpit detail set and resin seats. This kit suffers from the same problem as most Hasegawa kits, that being a lack of weapons. This can be remedied by either purchasing Hasegawa's wepons set or raiding the spares box. Overall a very nice kit. Highly recommended.
