Model was primarily airbrushed with Krylon Short Cuts enamels. Silver parts were hand painted.

Model is mounted on a 14"x 7" piece of oak. Chassis is fastened with black cord to the underside of the wooden base.

Frame around windshield is painted black to simulate rubber seals. Wipers also have a simulated black rubber blade attached to the aluminum arms and blade frame.

Gold stripe separating the white and red colors is actually hand painted. Chrome trim around side windows is also hand painted.

Fire hoses are displayed using beige/tan boot or shoe laces. The aglets are painted silver to simulate hose nozzles.

Gauges are decals (even though the top two are upside down--a moment of "brain fog"). Oh well!!!

The fire extinguisher cabinet door is glued shut according to the directions. Seems a shame to detail the containers and then close the door on them.

So I glued the door in the open position and attached two shock absorbers from my spare parts cabinet to simulate hydraulic closers.
