This is another nice paint. I have found two straight from the bottle uses. One is on the traverse gear on my 88 Rifle and the other is atop the rails of the railroad track. The color works well with other colors to get what I want. Which I still do not really not know.

There is that gear. From my experience in construction and oilfield, that gear when cut would be lubricated/protected. It would not be painted.

This Takon brush has had good service for fine detail. Today, it is still good for this job of painting the fresh steel, fresh cut gear.

Another natural place for this color is the rail where the wheels keep the RR rail polished

That traverse gear has the Fresh Steel on it. It needs that color, one of the small details that add up. Here, the guns and ammo have been painted with gun metal. Changing lights, angle of light, and changing my position all change my perception
