Polar-Lights 1966 Batmobile with Robin Plastic Model Car Kit 1/25 Scale #pol920
The 1966 Batmobile on the workbench. You'll note the engine (bottom right) snuggled into the chassis. The car's hood can be removed to display it.

The included resin figures of Batman & Robin. (They really do look like Adam West & Burt Ward!) An hour after this photo was taken, Batman's chest decal cracked then fell off... so be careful when applying yours.

The '66 Batmobile. The trick to capturing the sheer coolness of this car is give it a shining glossy black coat, then add those racing stripes. How'd I do?

Close-up of the cockpit. I watched about fifty episodes of the TV show to try and capture the correct detail here.

Rear of the Batmobile. That licence plate is a decal, and the only provided license plate in the kit. But I'm not sure its accurate to the TV show. Anyone know?

The '66 Batmobile, from underneath. The suspension really works, and the front wheels turn.

The '66 Batmobile. There are decals for the racing stripes, but I painted mine by hand. It took forever... but looks so cool.

Batman, racing into Gotham City. I couldn't actually get Batman's hands around the wheel - its really snug in that cockpit.

It surprised me to no end, but the '66 Batmobile (on the right) is the physically LARGEST Batmobile to date! (All models here are in 1:25 scale)
