I bought this rocket when they were introduced as boxed kits for the end cap at Wal-Mart. IIRC, my son was interviewing for an internship before he graduated, which would have made this a 2009 purchase. I was initially drawn to the Crossbow due to the close resemblance to the Satellite Interceptor, a classic from the late 70's that was part of my original fleet. There are some differences, the purple decals, extra fin on the bottom side and lack of tube fins on the wings, but it's definitely the son of the father. Flies like a scalded weasel, so be prepared with extra eyes. Even an A8-3 flight will get this one up there. As a result, the 12 chute will likely need to be reefed to keep it from flying away. Even better, swap in a streamer for the chute. It's a fairly light rocket and will recover just as well with the streamer, and probably a lot closer.
