There may be only a few times you need a vise but when you do need one nothing else will do. The quick release function is very handy, it will allow you to quickly open or close the vise. It is made out of aluminum and was less expensive than a plastic vise.

For some reason I thought this was smaller than it actually is, but as a trade off it's much lighter than I expected. Can't explain it but the size makes up for the lack of weight and makes this vise very handy. I use it for cutting polystyrene and aluminum tubing and have been very satisfied with it. I don't typically bolt it down to use it and that's where the weight versus size dichotomy shows it's usefulness.
