Yes it works....

This third hand really works. I was a little unsure at first. But, once I started using it. It's come in handy. The metal base is heavy enough to hold most pieces. And, it's great for holding your work steady while resting on your work bench. I also use for for making jewelry. Very happy with the product.

This comes in handy a lot!

If your modeling or rocket building ever leaves you wishing for a third hand while glue or CA sets up or you want to use an accelerator spray, this will often do the trick. Once adjusted, it holds position quite well. It isn't attached to an anvil, but it is plenty heavy for light modeling tasks.The tweezers hold well, but won't smash the balsa fin or tube that you are adding.
