I'm a big fan of Glencoe's salvaging of many of the kits I grew up building. I first built the Jupiter C in 1970 when Hawk re-released it during the Apollo years. The Jupiter C was an adaptation of the Redstone rocket designed by Werner Von Braun. When the Vanguard rocket exploded on the launch pad, the Jupiter C was pressed into service and carried the Explorer 1 satellite (also a Glencoe kit) into orbit. The detail on this kit is fairly nice, and the overall molding is clean. This is a great kit for space program enthusiasts. I've built the Glencoe release several times; one of my builds resides in the Cincinnati Astronomical Society's mini museum.
