It's an F15E - what isn't to love? I have a lot of time for the Hasegawa kits - like most things Japanese, they put a lot of time into planning it, so they usually go together with minimal effort. My one gripe with Hasegawa is the munitions modelling - had to steal decals from another kit to make the mk21s look like something other than green blobs on the pylons.

"The Best 1/72 F-15E - with some room for improvement"

Itâ€™s hard to do the F-15E kit justice at this scale , but Hasegawa has a good go at it. The details are all there - engine inlets with turbines? check. Elaborate Nozzles without the leaf petals? Check. Sniper pods and cluster bombs? Got that. Heck, in a moment of madness for Hasegawa, even threw in a BLU-109 and a pair of BLU-111s! So you can really mix and match the munitions as you please. My only peeve on this kit is the unreasonably short yellow stripe decals for the cluster bomb ordinance - but that gap can be easily painted. Is it enough to sink the whole kit by one star? Probably not, but Hasegawa really needs to close this silly gap that has gone off too long.
