"EXTREMELY Simple, for Lovers of the Movie Only"

I'm a fan of Ray Harryhausen and of EvFS, so my eyes popped when I saw this model kit. I personally love that someone put this kit out there for sci-fi geeks like me, but I'm hesitant to recommend the kit for a few reasons. The biggest: it is EXTREMELY simple. A completed saucer has only three pieces: the top, the bottom, and either a ray gun or landing platform on the bottom. If you like, you can include the blinking LEDs in the interior. But assembly is no challenge. The model is also smaller than I expected - at 5 inches, it its in the palm of your hand. The price is a little too high - I think $5 is appropriate for this kit, not $15. For lovers of the original movie only.

"More 1950s SciFi Craziness Flying Saucers"

I am a big fan of the 1950s science fiction films that were being released so often during the craze. This kit captures Earth vs. The Flying Saucers perfectly. It is obviously a simple kit but fun and inexpensive. Assembly is easy and painting with a silver metallic quick. I added an aftermarket resin base with robot figures to top it off and it sits proudly on my shelves. I definitely recommend it for other fans of those bad but good movies.

I love the kit, but it said with LED lights and it didn't have any.

"Nice, though smallish, kit"

I was thrilled to see this kit produced. I've been an avid modeler for 49 of my 59 years, and a science fiction fan a year or two longer. Although not a poor man, my hobby budget does not include many if any resin kits. At about 1/3/the cost of a similar scale resin kit, I can have a threesome of invading flying saucers. I would have liked them a bit better if they were just a bit bigger, but I'll take what I can get. Easy to build and light, this kit is begging for a diorama.
