Awesome & wicked gasser
I have built two of these 33s to date, a panel & a pickup out of the panel & both built into decent looking gassers from the 60s! I personally think this is a great kit because it was easy to build & easy to modify. Only issue I had was during the panel build I used the big block 427 SOHC, test fitting as the build progressed, but in final assembly, the engine did not fit, the hood did not clear the valve covers & would not close. Ended up swapping out the Ford for a small block Chevy. These AMT 33 Willys hoods are also notorious for being ill fitting because of the simple hinge system! But, still a great fun kit!
fun and enjoyable
A fun, reasonably easy to build, some flash and mold lines, a few delicate parts but it builds into a great model. Instructions were easy to follow and with some patience I believe you will enjoy the results. I plan to purchase another one. My only complaint is the strong mold lines on the front fenders took a great deal of sanding to remove. Recommended.
Head hunter
I struggled with some fit issues on some of the small undercarriage parts. I added some parts from my spare parts & some decals from my stash. All in all it turned out pretty good. Not a real difficult build, I do recommend it.
