AMT LIL' VICKY 1932 Ford Victoria - Great Kit with Options!
By: davidmbuckmaster
I decide to build models after 10 year break, i bought a few and this one ended up being the 1st one I finished. Great kit, great options for engine, The plans look to be same as they were in original kit many years ago but very easy to assemble and see the options you have for 3 different builds. There is a stock version with the full running boards and fenders. A Competition version and Custom. This kit was not bad for the flash and trim on the parts, only few parts needed help with fit. I plan to buy this kit again if not more to make a few different versions. Even at the end of the build I have a another complete engine and box of great parts left for other kit-bashing some day.
A classic worth re-visiting

The 32 Ford Vicky re-release by AMT is an overall good kit. There are just some things to keep in mind when building this kit. There will be some parts within the kit that are not in the instructions, so take your time and look over the parts trees very carefully. The kit comes with some very nice choices in wheels, and has two different front end wheel assemblies which make it nice for giving a modeler an option on the overall stance. Decals are good and the flash is minimal compared to other re-releases by AMT. I'm making mine a rat rod and will have pictures up soon.

Nice reissue of an older kit. Flash was light but I did have one troubled area across the back of the body. Parts fit was excellent, I didn't have any troubles with assembly. Details were good for an older kit. Instructions were clear but not all options are listed on them. I detailed the engine with wires, fuel lines and carb linkage. The only thing that I changed were the rims and tires. I painted it red with black fenders and painted the interior dark brown. I would recommend this kit to all builders. Very nice kit.
Great car, lots of cool parts, poor to average molding

Do you like cutting off flash and sanding off mold lines? If so this is the kit for you! Honestly I understand that this is a reissue of an old kit but zero was done with the moldings to clean the kit up. The good part is that this a great subject with all of the parts you could need to make any number of cool variations. If you're willing to put in some extra work you will be rewarded with a very cool model.
Deuce Classic
This kit got my attention quickly and all of my other projects were set aside. Stock, custom, and competition options offer a lot of choices for the assembler. As usual, I tended toward the stock options--flatheads forever! This is an re-issued old kit, just about like I remembered it. If Ford would start making these again, they would sell a million of them.
AMT 32 VICKY
This model has been around in various kits since the 60's. I actually have two of this model,a full body street-rod version and a hot-rod version. This kit lets you make different options, from stock all the way to drag racer. This kit come with some nice tire options. It's a pretty easy build too.
Fun build
I only used about 1/2 the parts that came with this kit,I hit my parts boxes for engine, trans, rear end, tires and wheels. The body and interior are great, nice fit, clean molds. The left overs won't go to waste,I've got a project in mind. This one just begs for customization.

This is by my recollection the first kit I ever built. Though somewhat dated as far as features go it's a good kit. A lot of fun to build and is highly customizable with the help of the parts box and the after market.
You can tell its old

This kit's original issue was made painfully obvious that it's an old one. Low detail, lota of flashing, and very wavy body panels. It has some good options and some nice parts but as a whole its pretty crude
Vague instructions
With all the options this model has, I found the instructions to be vague in some places. Also the interior could use some options.
